How is the magnet strip mounted?

The two screws and plugs provided can be used to screw the backplate to a wall. After that, the magnet strip magnetically attaches to the backplate.

How do I clean the magnet strip?

The magnet strip can be easily detached from the backplate without loosening any screws. After that a damp cloth should do the trick.

How many knives does the strip hold?

Well how big are your knives? This strip comfortably holds 7 chef's knives or about 14 paring knives. It's safe to say any 7-piece knife set should fit.

Does the strip need to be oiled?

With normal use oiling is not necessary. That being said, oiling wood never hurts and brings out the best in any wood. You can find out more on the subject in our learning section.

This has been a good product and functioned as needed. The larger knives do wobble a bit on it compared to other magnet strips I have. This one does look much better though.
